MY GREAT MEMORIES (Climbing Illampu).

Having found the following footage of your ascent of Illampu with a client on youtube; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVOZg4akddI I decided to write and say how much I often remember and think of our ascent on Monday 13th August 2007.  I was extremely fortunate to meet with yourself and your colleagues, and it is with genuine fondness I remember all from Bolivian Mountains who assisted me in exploring such a fantastic country.

I would like to share with you an excerpt from my diary, which I often read to remind myself of these good times;

«Then, above Eduardo’s figure I caught sight of sunlight glinting off snow and ice – surely the summit ridge?!  In a few more minutes we were there; being warmed by the rising sun and looking down the length of all the Cordillera Real.  Fantastic!  I had been completely overcome by emotion, and much to Eduardo’s consternation had burst spontaneously in to a fit of tears; I simply let go of all the physical and emotional energy I had been accumulating these past few days in the complete joy of having climbed to the very summit of Illampu».

You are an excellent guide, and were a great companion to have on my ascent of Illampu.
